Who controls the information
Armand de Beer is the data controller for information sent directly through this website's contact email and for any website information independently retained by the publisher.
Website visits and downloads
The site is hosted by IONOS. Like ordinary web hosting, the server may record technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested path, browser information, response status and referrer. These logs are used for security, fault investigation and aggregate download counts. The website does not currently add an analytics or advertising tracker, and it does not create an account database.
Hosting logs are not copied into a separate marketing database and are retained only for as long as they remain available through the hosting service or are needed to investigate a specific security or reliability issue.
Email, feedback and security reports
If you email, the information you choose to provide is used to answer the request, investigate the reported behaviour, improve the product or handle a security report. The legal basis is the steps you request, legitimate interests in supporting and securing ProtoCall, and legal obligations where applicable. Do not send passwords, private keys, production secrets or unredacted packet captures unless a secure transfer method has first been agreed.
Desktop application data
The published Inspector and Emulator test builds do not require a publisher-operated account and do not send usage analytics to the publisher. They create and process local project, configuration, capture and evidence data according to the actions you perform. They also make the network connections that you configure or initiate. You remain responsible for that local data and for any personal or sensitive information captured from a target environment.
Retention, sharing and rights
Ordinary correspondence is removed when it is no longer needed. Security reports, release evidence and related decisions may be kept for the supported product lifetime and any period required for legal, safety or security records. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate email or hosting, professional advisers, or authorities where legally required.
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of personal data, or object to processing, where the relevant right applies. Contact info@vextralsystems.com. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
